Terms of Service

Welcome to Forj. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Forj mobile application ("App"), operated by MARTINS Kévin ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Forj, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Forj is a task management application that helps you plan your day by organizing tasks based on available time, location, and priorities. The App provides features including task creation, daily planning, goal tracking, recurring task management, and local notifications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Forj. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. User Accounts

Forj does not currently require account registration. Your data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored within the App.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Premium Subscription

Forj offers a premium subscription ("Forj Premium") that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.

4.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for Forj Premium. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. User Data and Privacy

5.1 Local Data Storage

All your personal content — including task titles, descriptions, deadlines, goals, and location preferences — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not synced to any cloud service.

5.2 Analytics

We collect anonymous usage analytics (such as feature usage counts, app open events, and error reports) through PostHog to improve the App. This data does not include your task content or personal information. A stable anonymous identifier is used; no personally identifiable information is transmitted.

5.3 Purchase Data

Subscription and purchase information is processed by RevenueCat on our behalf to manage entitlements. This data is limited to purchase status and device identifiers.

5.4 Notifications

Forj uses local notifications to remind you about your daily planning, upcoming deadlines, and dormant tasks. Notification permissions are requested during onboarding and can be managed in your device settings at any time.

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, fonts, and content, is owned by MARTINS Kévin and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MARTINS Kévin SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, TASKS, OR PRODUCTIVITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, deletion of the App, or any other cause outside our reasonable control.

You acknowledge that Forj stores data locally on your device. We strongly recommend maintaining regular device backups. We are not responsible for any loss of tasks, goals, or other data due to device malfunction, App deletion, software updates, or any other cause.

The App integrates with third-party services including:

12. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual property) will continue to apply.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MARTINS Kévin regarding the use of the App.
